Use clay flower pots

...to quickly change an outdoor decoration

Changing a garden or patio decoration doesn't have to involve lots of time and money. Clay flower pots are usually cheap and can be found easily in garden centres.

Try some of these ideas to change your decoration today:

Change the location of the flower pot that has more impact on your decoration - it may be the larger one, the one with the biggest plant, or just one that has a plant with lots of flowers right now.

Change the height of the flower pots - raise and lower a few. Put some on the floor, others in planters stands... an idea: use big clay flower pots, upside down, as a support for other pots.

Arrange your planters by colour, but mix the tones inside each color so it isn't too straightforward. If you have a lot of colours, mix in some pots in white or just plain clay pots, to bring the colours together.

Put decorative accessories inside the planters with the plants. From windmills, small metal sculptures, name plaques... there are a lot to choose from.

Use the walls of your space too - add hanging planters and wall planters and your garden room will have more colour and interest.

Do use empty pots and planters - even without plants, they can contribute to achieve a decoration theme and style.
